AMCTA reiterates

While reiterating their demands put forward to the State Government, the All Manipur College Teachers' Association (AMCTA) has appealed to the general public not to construe their steps aimed at saving higher education in the wrong light.
AMCTA strongly condemns the Government's negligence of higher education and attempts to project college teachers in bad light, conveyed a press release.
The Government should consider all the demands of AMCTA as a matter of urgency instead of inviting mass agitation.
AMCTA is all prepared to face any attempt to sabotage the teacher's agitation.
As demanded in the ultimatum, fresh notification should be issued for resolving all service matters.
Appointment orders of Principals appointed through faulty procedure should be cancelled and a fresh notification should be issued for appointment of regular Principals of all Government colleges.
A sincere officer should be appointed to the post of Commissioner (Higher Education) and all the pending SCA and TA should be released without any further delay, it demanded.
Meanwhile, the Manipur College Teachers' Association (MCTA) has clarified that MCTA is a bonafide unit of AMCTA and it is not related with any other body.
It further claimed that the teachers' cease work strike has been going on without any interruption.
