Imphal, October 29:
Manipur team officials are informed have lodged a strong complaint on the conduct of the referee in the second semi final match against Punjab at the Santosh Trophy football tournament today.
According to AMFA sources, the team officials protested on the match referee disallowing a goal scored in the 10th minute of extra-time by Tiken.
The strikers boot came out even as the ball went in.
Citing latest rules issued by footballs governing body FIFA on the game the Manipur officials are informed to have contended that Rule No 4 (Q&A) has no provision for disallowing goals as long as playing kits that come loose do not obstruct member/s of the opposite side.
