Owing to certain technical flaws, OC Irilbung PS has sought withdrawal of his earlier application requesting the CJM Imphal to allow conducting DNA test on AR personnel involved in the arrest and subsequent killing of Thangjam Manorama.
CJM today allowed the withdrawal made by the OC.
The CJM's order on the matter reflected that the Additional Public Prosecutor (APP) prayed before the court for allowing to withdraw the application with liberty to file another application on the ground that there are some defects in the application.
Such an application is to be filed after causing arrest of the personnel, whose DNA test is required in connection with the present case.
The Assistant Public Prosecutor also prayed that the prosecution be allowed to file the application for the DNA test after the arrest of the same personnel, the order also said.
Meanwhile, one Pukhrambam Bilashini Devi of Keirao Leirambi Leikai a witness in the ongoing Thangjam Manorama Devi Death Inquiry Commission informed that Central Security forces has been searching for her.
Earlier Bilashini (50) wife of Amucha stated before the State sponsored inquiry panel that she saw a woman being pulled down from an army vehicle and later heard some gun shots while she was working in the paddy field near Laipharok Maring Village in the early morning of July 11.Following the repeated searching of Bilashini by Central security personnel, Kanglei Chanura Thourang Lup, Keirao Bitra has appealed to the authorities concerned to stop imposing such moral threats.
The Lup also demanded to provide state security forces to her to ensure her safety and security.
