Imphal, July 27 2010:
Taking strong exception to the attacks on passenger vehicles operating between Imphal and Senapati, the Naga People's Organisation has banned all commercial taxi services between Mao and Imphal with effect from midnight of July 28.Demanding clarification from the responsible persons or organisation for the repeated attacks on commercial vehicles coming from Senapati district, the NPO condemned in the strongest term the attacks on two Tata Sumos and a Tata Winger at North AOC by some bike-borne persons yesterday.
NPO in a statement also recalled the attack on two buses plying between Mao and Imphal recently in which a driver and a woman passenger sustained injuries.
