Personnel of 22 Assam Rifles have extended medical and other necessary help to the victims of mishap.
According to PRO Assam Rifles, four residents including an elderly female and a 3-year old child from Thingba Khunou were moving towards Maram when their jeep skidded down the hill into the valley below.
Failing to find adequate medical aid in Maram town, they were brought to the unit hospital of 22 Assam Rifles by the local people.
The patients had suffered multiple lacerations and were bleeding profusely.
They were provided by the much needed emergency first aid by the medical team headed by Capt Vishvendu, RMO of 22 Assam Rifles.
On the other hand, prompt action of the 2 Assam Rifles reportedly saves the life of five persons.
According to a PIB Defence Wing statement, a truck carrying 15 people met with a serious accident near Chiangpi, Churachandpur district yesterday.
Five people who were on board the ill-fated truck suffered serious injuries.
Sensing the gravity of the situation, troops of Assam Rifles promptly got into action and provided on the spot medical aid to those who had suffered lesser injuries and evacuated five seriously injured to the district hospital at Churachandpur.
AR provides bull dozer: In continuation of its effort to establish cordial and helpful relations with the villagers of the area, 13 Assam Rifles provided a dozer to Nungbi village for extension of the existing playground.
As a good will gesture, rations were also donated to the Mission Blind School, Heikakpokpi in Chandel district by 21 AR which has adopted the school.
Timely help in terms of ration and drinking water is being regularly supplied for the inmates of the school, said PRO AR in a statement.
