BGVS, Manipur reaches out with aids to CQCs

Senapati, June 03 2020:
Bharat Gyan Vigyan Samiti (BGVS), Manipur reached out with aids to the people of Senapati district including district quarantine transit point and selected community centres operated by the villages for returnees.
Biplab Ghosh, National Executive Committee member of BGVS who is also in-charge of BGVS North East while speaking at Maiba village quarantine centre stated that as people suffer due to COVID-19, BGVS is making efforts to show solidarity in fighting against the disease.
The team in order to help the returnees and to show their concern for them had provided 2 bags of rice and 1 bag of pulses each to Maiba village, Phuba Khuman and Thapham villages, Lower and Upper Koide villages and 3 villages of Phaibung under Senapati district.
The team will also cover the remaining community quarantine centres in the future, he said.
As of now, the two villages of Koide have around 40 returnees, Maiba village has some 5 in quarantine, Phuba villages 14 while the 3 villages of Phaibung reportedly have around 20 returnees.
The returnees are accomodated at the outskirt of the villages where the centres are provided with food stuffs and ration.
On the other hand, Tungjoy Baptist Church had also distributed cabbage, potato and wild fresh vegetable to Mao police station, Mao Gate medical team, Tadubi police station, DC Senapati for food bank, Senapati district police, Senapati district Medical Department including District Administration food bank, and police station and medical department of Kangpokpi district.
Pastor of Tungjoy Baptist Church, PM Dahriini said that the step was taken up by the church as an appreciation to the frontline warriors who have been risking their lives for the service of humanity.
