Ukhrul-Political awareness camp

The 45-Chingai Mandal of BJP organised a one-day political awareness camp at Ringui and Tuinem village of Ukhrul today, our correspondent reports.
More than 500 villagers attended the awareness camp.
An interaction with functionaries of the BJP State unit was also held during the camp.
BJP chief spokesperson Prof Tiken, Vision Document convenor Dr Ranjan, Party spokesperson Prof Joykumar and former Minister Dr Khasim Ruivah also attended today's political awareness camp.
Aspiring BJP candidate for the 45Chingai Assembly Constituency Dr Khashim Ruivah spoke in length about BJP and its focus on development and change for the benefit and welfare of the people.
He clarified that BJP is not anti-Naga or anti-Christian.
He urged the public not to get confused with the controversy surrounding beef consumption while asserting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured stringent punishment to anyone attempting to take laws into their hand while dealing with beef consumption issue.
State party leaders also delivered speech during the programme and held an interaction with the villagers of Ringui and Tuinem.
The villagers pledged to support Dr Ruivah if he gets the party ticket in the ensuing general Assembly election.
On the much-talked about alliance of BJP and NPF, the party leaders clarified that there is no pre-poll alliance between them and post-poll alliance would only be decided by high command of the party.
