Imphal, April 15 2013:
It was a special warfare group of the PLA which attacked 116 Battalion BSF (D-Coy) near their camp at Wangjing Tekcham Leikai at about 8.30 pm of April 13 and foot patrolling team of 40 Assam Rifles at Lilong Heinou Makhong at about 7.20 am of April 14 by triggering bomb blasts.
Even as PLA has been taking utmost care to avoid casualty to civilians while carrying military offensive against the Indian military, it was highly regrettable that one child sustained injuries in the Lilong attack, said a press release issued by the outfit's Department of Publicity Chief Bangkim.
Again, at about 9.30 am of April 14, a fighting force of PLA's 252 mobile battalion attacked and inflicted heavy casualties upon a team of Indian military personnel who were coming in Gypsy at Saikotang.
It is one unwavering resolve of the PLA to wage the war of liberation together with the mass until Manipur is liberated, it added.
