Strategy to enhance export volume on the card

The State Level Export Promotion Committee has decided to work out a strategy to enhance export volume and set up a Spice Park.
This was decided in a meeting of the Committee held yesterday in the office chamber of Chief Secretary PC Lawmkunga, said a source.
Presided by the Chief Secretary, the 18th meeting of the Committee was attended by Additional Secretary of Ministry of Commerce, RR Rasmi and officials from Spices Board, Rubber Board, Director General of Foreign Trade and State Commerce and Industries Department.
Considering State's high potential in spices production, the meeting decided to set up a Spice Park with an eye to enhancing State's economy, the source added.
Apart from working out a strategy to increase the export volume, the meeting also deliberated on opening of a cargo terminal at Tulihal Airport.
The source further said that the Committee had already given its nod to open an exhibition complex at Lamboikhongnangkhong.
Informing that the complex would have two exhibition halls and one open air theatre, the source said that facilities for holding International and national level exhibitions would be available in the complex.
