The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) has appealed the Maoist Communist Party, Manipur to reconsider and lift the ban and restriction it imposed on the party ' s State unit workers.
The Maoist Communist Party has been levelling charges against Karam Shyam, the lone LJP legislator in the State, who is also CAF&PD Minister in the BJP led coalition Govt, in connection with PDS.
They have also demanded the removal of Karam Shyam from his post.
Maoist Communist Party had asked the Manipur LJP workers to distance themselves from the party within a week from Nov 6.The deadline expires tomorrow (Nov 12) .
Addressing media persons today at the party office located at Babupara, spokesperson of Manipur unit LJP N Ibohal said no workers of the party have been involved in PDS related works/activities.
He appealed to all concerned to create a peaceful and cordial environment for the party workers in their endeavour to serve the public.
The party has been constantly working for the welfare of the people and the State since the State unit was opened, he said.
The party has also been vocal against the atrocities committed to people of NE in mainland India, he added.
As such, he appealed to all concerned not to create fear psychosis among the party workers.
