Don't meddle, advises IM to UNLF
Source: The Sangai Express / Newmai News Network

Dimapur, June 10: The NSCN-IM on Tuesday while countering the press statement of the Manipur based outfit UNLF has said that the revolutionary culture forbids meddling in other's business.

The NSCN-IM in a statement said that the discomfort of UNLF with NSCN-IM is phenomenally getting exposed but in a very despicable manner.

The changing tide of historical reality is always followed by the inevitable reverberation, stated the outfit in a statement while adding that the wisdom of a revolutionary leadership does not lie in sowing seeds of dissension but in understanding with others and its own political philosophy in the face of the changing political realignments.

It said that the NSCN-IM believes in the principle of liberation of all dominated people and nations.

"The aspiration of such people is always respected and supported.

The history of the past will testify how and where NSCN stands in relations to the neighboring revolutionary organizations.

To the Naga people, fighting with the common enemy unitedly does not necessarily mean fighting for a common goal.

Diluting and distorting the Naga political history by making a joint issue with those who have joined forces with the enemies will only lead towards undermining the uniqueness of Naga history," explained the NSCN-IM.

The outfit then affirmed that the issue of territorial integration or unification is non-negotiable.

"It is not a demand or grievances to be redressed.

We feel that it is a natural necessity.

And ultimately it is the will of the people that matters", further stated the outfit in he statement.

The NSCN-IM also said that true to its revolutionary standing, the magnanimity of NSCN-IM in helping out the various revolutionary groups of the region is a historical reality, but much to the discomfort of the government of India.

"UNLF is one of the important groups who cannot deny the fact that it has been benefited much by NSCN at some stages of its existence.

But for extending all possible supports to them at that crucial period NSCN gets nothing in return except hate campaigns, criticism, enmity and distortion of history.

And that UNLF's attitude towards NSCN is anti-thesis of revolutionary practice," said the NSCN-IM statement.

The outfit further stated that it is a matter of serious thinking if the UNLF represents the aspiration of Meitei people or not.

The alienation of the local populace from the UNLF is already sending the message across that UNLF have failed to live up to the expectation of the people, said the NSCN-IM.

"Surprisingly, the people of certain villages in Imphal valley are demanding weapons from the government of Manipur to fight back against the UNLF and other groups.

This is a shattering blew for them and a damaging damnation for any revolutionary organization.

To make the matter worst for the falling reputation of UNLF the \most unbecoming characteristic of UNLF is to speak critical of NSCN at any national and international forums.

But the world knows what is UNLF speaking about and what is UNLF up to.

Such manner of indulging in smear campaign against NSCN is unrevolutionary by any standard and it only reflects its sense of insincerity and jealousy.

Contrary to the revolutionary stand of the UNLF for fighting against India it is openly collaboration with Indian-backed Khaplang," clarified the NSCN-IM.

The outfit then said that all those internal fightings including that of the present are the manifestations of contradiction between the revolutionary forces and the reactionary and not the creation of the leadership as alleged..

"The signing of the Shillong Accord of 1975, the military coup of 1978, Khaplang's abortive coup attempt of 1988 and Azheto rebellion of 2007 are all typical examples of irreconcilable contradictions.

These reactionary groups changed direction in the name of Naga sovereignty and collaborated with the enemies to murder the issue in the stolen name of the people.

These are the causes of the current crises taking place in Nagalim.

But with NSCN spearheading the Nagas movement with clear vision for the destination is a matter to be envied by the anti Naga national elements," revealed the NSCN-IM.

The outfit also stated that the Naga people believe in the politics of political solution, not military solution.

The current talks with the government of India is far from succumbing or surrendering to India.

Indo-Naga issue is a political issue and therefore, political solution is the only answer.

All problems in the world are solved through negotiation.

If UNLF believe in military solution, it is their choice.

It is far fetched to think of Mizo type solution in the Naga context, claimed the NSCN-IM statement.

"The Naga movement gain strength from the political concept of free Nagalim.

This is the thrust of the Nagas political struggle and living testimony of our potential ideology.

The living and the death cannot co-exist.

Revolutionary politics is built upon the rock of history.

The vision that guides NSCN and the Nagas towards the construction of free Nagalim state is legally and politically justified.

And it is no comparison to others," further claimed the outfit.

The NSCN-IM then said that the very mention of Tangkhuls by UNLF reflects its sheer desperation and panic as the Indo-Naga issue is drawing more attention of the government of India and the world.

"UNLF with it dirty mindset towards the Nagas in general and the Tangkhul in particular will never stay at peace but continue to spit venom of communalism and sectarianism among the Nagas.

It is incredibly damming for UNLF to make joint issue with the Indian-backed Azheto gang.

For the Nagas the Azheto's unification move is nothing but deception.

Traitors at the adversary's camp never represent the people.

Even the Government of India declares Azheto gang as illegal.," said the fuming NSCN-IM.

The statement further stated that NSCN-IM takes pride in the existence of its coordinating offices in different countries, including India.

"This itself speaks of seriousness of the Naga issue where the world at large is also facilitating it in its talk with the government of India for bringing a just and hon'ble solution.

The Hon'ble Ato Kilonser (Prime Minister) Mr.Muivah came to India on invitation by the Government of India and his security is provided by the host country as per the international convention," clarified the NSCN-IM while adding, "UNLF's aggressive attack on religion and socio-economic system of the Nagas is unwarranted.

NSCN fully understand that religion and nationalism are invincible historical forces to be reckoned with.

UNLF should mind its own business," advised the NSCN-IM.
