CCpur reports 34 new COVID-19 positive cases; 1 death

Churachandpur, May 10 2021:
Churachandpur district reported 34 new COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours taking the total number of active cases in the district to 2714 .
Out of the 34 persons confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases, 19 were male and 17 were female.
A total of 30 persons (15M/15F, all local), out of 76 persons tested, were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases in the Rapid Antigen Test at District Hospital and other testing sites.
Besides, 4 persons (1 returnee & 3 locals) from the district whose samples were collected in Imphal tested in RT PCR came out positive for COVID-19 .
Meanwhile, one more COVID-19 positive person, aged 42 succumbed to COVID-19 at Churachandpur District Hospital in the past 24 hours.
According to District Hospital authority, the latest victim died due to acute abdomen hollow viscus perforation.
He was tested positive for COVID-19 as per RAgT conducted on him on May 7, 2021 .
He was admitted to District Hospital Churachandpur on May 9 around 12.16 pm and expired in the wee hours today.
The total number of positive cases in the district as of May 10 is 2540 which includes 1720 male and 820 female, while 2215 have recovered.
Out of the 2215 persons, 1512 were male and 703 were female.
It may be mentioned that COVID-19 patients of the district are treated at Dedicated Covid Health Centre, District Hospital; Covid Care Centre, Lanva TD Block, Lingsiphai; Military Isolation Centres and about 128 persons are kept in Home Isolation.
As per the information provided by the District Health and District Hospital authorities, the number of beds at dedicated COVID-19 centre, District Hospital, Churachandpur as of today is only 20, in which 17 are occupied.
The number of COVID-19 patients on oxygen support is 16.Besides, 44 D Type Cylinders are available as of date at the District Hospital while 18 D Type and 7 B Type empty cylinders have been sent for refill to Central medical stores.
6 filled oxygen cylinders are in stock and 20 cylinders are currently in use.
