Bid to arrest family of deceased decried

Younger brother of Moirangthem Nilamani Singh of Bishnupur Ward no 3 Maning Leikai who was found dead at a piggery farm on September 11, Moirangthem Bickey has stated that attempting to arrest the family members of the deceased by the police is unfortunate.
Speaking to media persons during a press meet held at Bishnupur Ward no 3 Community Hall, M Bickey appealed to all concerned to stop troubling the victim's family at the earliest.M Bickey continued that Bishnupur police and the locals of Bishnupur Ward no 3 Maning Leikai contested yesterday for a when the former attempted to bring the family members of Tomba who is one of the accused of Nilamani case to the locality.
The police fired tear gas shells to disperse the irate locals, he claimed.
Saying that a team of police led by SI Devajit came to arrest him and two of his brothers this morning, he alleged that police attempted to take away one of the brothers but was stopped following the intervention of local people.He then urged the Chief Minister, local MLA and the SP concerned to look into the matter to churn out a tangible solution.One of the locals of Bishnupur Ward no 3, Konsam Pramo asked the State Government and authority concerned to book the accused accordingly.She also said that family members of the accused can stay in the locality.
