Hate-leaflet concerns MP

Taking serious note of putting up wall posters and circulating quit notices against a community staying in churachandpur district, Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency MP Thangso Baite opined that failure to identify or pull up the culprits testify incompetency of the district administration.
Interacting with some media persons at his official residence in Lamphel this afternoon, Thango baite described as deplorable quit notice served to the Meiteis.
Noting Churachandpur district as a sensitive area due to multi-ethnic composition of the population, he questioned inability of the district administration to narrow down on the source of the hate-campaign and failure to round up and punish the master-mind and those involved in creating communal tension.
Suggesting that the people too extend cooperation to the police in tracking down the culprits and contribute their mite in restoring age-old cordial relationships, the MP also observed that the unwanted development might be the handiwork of some mischievous individuals.
Further stating that exercising maximum restrain is the need of the hour, Thangso maintained that only through unity of the people intention of pranksters could be defeated.
Former MLA Okram joy Singh, who is also the MP's advisor, lamenting the undesired events in Churachandpur pointed out that the tiny valley pockets of Manipur belong to every community.
Fervently appealing to every section of the Churachandpur society to strive for sustaining peaceful environment in the district, he also suggested that the Government of Manipur initiate suitable security measures to avert unwanted consequences.
