Deer rescued, freed

PFA Thoubal freed an injured Barking Deer yesterday after administering first aid to the deer.
A statement issued by the PFA said that the PFA was contacted by one Athokpam Subhaschandra Singh of Moirang Kampu informing that he found a displaced barking deer at his courtyard yesterday morning.
PFA activists immediately rushed to Moirang Kampu to find a male barking deer with multiple minor injuries, surrounded by people who were worried about the safety of the deer.
Subhaschandra had administered ORS and provided fresh grass to the deer.
PFA members quickly provided first aid including injection and spray to the wounds etc.
After some minutes the deer, raised its head and look around.
Along with the family, the PFA accessed some suitable area and freed the deer on the same day.
The deer run away happily after turning back a second as if it was showing gratitude.
At the spot Subhaschandra's wife invoked god by offering flower and candle for the safety of the deer.
The family's desire to save the poor deer was fulfilled by PFA.
