KCP (MC ) leader brought back; NIA Court grants bail to Lanheiba

Imphal, July 10 2012:
Self styled military affairs secretary of KCP-MC Lanheiba Meitei has been granted bail by the Guwahati based NIA Special Court.
Notably, it was said that Lanheiba Meitei was involved in many cases of triggering bomb blasts in addition to planting a powerful explosive device inside Raj Bhavan at Imphal.
Lanheiba Meitei was taken to Guwahati by a team of Manipur Police on July 8 where he was produced before the special Court next day and he was granted bail.
Currently lodged in judicial custody, Lanheiba was brought back to Imphal this afternoon.
The other names of Lanheiba, who originally hails from Keirenphabi Mayai Leikai, Bishnupur district are Khwairakpam Brojen and Khelen.

He was arrested by Guwahati City Police from Beltola area of Guwahati on June 28 last year.
It was reported that he was involved in planting the abortive car bomb inside Raj Bhavan on September 18, 2007 and the Ragailong bomb blast of October 21, 2008 which claimed many lives.
