The training courses on bamboo products for women folk of Tamenglong district organised by 69 Bn CRPF at khongsang and Rengpang have concluded with the formal closing ceremony held at Khongsang on September 15. DIGP (CRPF) MS Raghava presided the closing ceremony during which stipends were distributed to all the 20 trainees, said a release issued by Commandant 69 Bn CRPF UB Mishra.
Apart from conducting the training course aimed at honing skills and train the women folk sustain their earning prospects, library books worth Rs 45,220 were also distributed to village authorities of Kambiron and Khongsang villages for their respective village community halls.
Kambiron village authority also presented Naga shawls as a mark of honour to the guests while Rengpang and Khongsang musical troupes performed at the occasion, the CO informed while adding that two best trainees were selected and felicitated.
It is further informed that the CRPF DIGP sought cooperation of the general populace to peace initiatives of the CRPF while UB Mishra assured the locals of the CRPF unit's objectives to organise more welfare-oriented programmes in the future.
