Singjamei P/S adjudged best in I/W

Singjamei police station has been adjudged as the best police station of Imphal west district and Sub-Inspector Romola Devi as the best investigating officer at the 1st Imphal West District Annual Meet 2016 held at 1st Manipur Rifles banquet ball today.
The function was attended by Clay Khongsai, IG Range-I as the chief guest, IK Muivah, DIG Range-I as guest of honour, Angam Romanus, SP Imphal East as special guest and Dr AK Jhalajit, SP Imphal West as president.
Giving his speech, Clay Khongsai said Imphal west district police have taken up
the right step towards provid-ing quality service.
He also said that competi-tions among police personnel are needed in the field of sports and physical fitness.
He also expressed his desire to hold such annual meets in other
districts as well.
In his speech, Dr AK Jhalajit said that the annual meet was
a dream of Imphal West district police.
The dream came true due to the hard work of police
personnel and officers, he said.
He also said that many senior police officers also provided
assistance to the district police in organising the event.
AK Jhalajit said that it was really tough to select the best
investigating officer as all the officers of the district are efficient
and hard-working.
That is why the district police were compelled to award
some consolation prizes to some competent officers, he said.
The meet was organised with an aim to bring the sense of
competition among police officers and personnel including
VDF personnel, he said.
During the annual meet, Singjamei police station was
awarded the best police station of Imphal West district.
The police station has performed well in frisking,
chargesheet submission and seizing and disposal of large
quantity of liquor.
The award carries a running trophy, a certificate and a
citation.
The award was handed over to Inspector Ingocha, O/C of
Singjamei police station by Clay Khongsai, IG Range (I).
Sub-Inspector Romola was awarded the best Investigating
Officer for submitting maximum number of chargesheets in
the district while Kwakeithel police outpost was adjudged the
best outpost prize.
Prizes for best VDF personnel, best civil police personnel,
best VDF personnel attached to commando, best traffic law
enforcer officer, best traffic parking and regulation officer,
best traffic women police personnel and best staff of Imphal
West district police were also presented at the function.
Other awards like performer of the year in prosecution,
special cell, narcotic cell and cyber crime unit, fittest policeman
and fittest police woman were also handed over at the function.
