Imphal, May 20 2015 :
Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Jual Oram has appealed to the people of Sadar Hills to elect the 'rightful' candidate who can work for the betterment of the people in the coming ADC election.
The Union Minister was campaigning for the BJP candidate of 23-Nongmaiching DCC under Sadar Hills ADC at Phunal Maring play ground.
Addressing a public meeting, Jual Oram accused the Congress party of making false promises to the people particularly the tribal minority groups.
The Congress' promises to bring developments to the people are yet to be seen, he said.
As such, it is now the time to put an end to the Congress Government in Manipur.

Asserting that the BJP is not sectarian or communal as alleged, he said that the NDA Govt is able to take up many developmental programmes in just a year which the Congress led Govt could not achieve in the past 20 years.
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs is ready to provide funds for development in tribal areas of the State, he said while appealing to the people to mandate BJP candidates to form the local Government.
Further, he said that the NDA Government cannot trust the works of the State Government as there is a difference between the claims in utilisation papers of project and the ground reality.
Development fund may not be utilised in a proper manner as long as there is Congress Govt in the State.
"Give BJP a chance to form the ADCs and see the changes," he appealed to the voters.
Speaking at the occasion, President of BJP Manipur, Th Chaoba appealed to all concerned to ensure free and fair polling in the ensuing ADC polls.
He said that the Department of Tribal Affairs and Hills is now more like a department for the welfare of Congress leaders.
Moreover he alleged that the Congress Government favours only the rich people and neglect the poor section.
Urging the voters of ten villages of 23-Nongmaiching Constituency to vote for the BJP candidate Parhai Morung, Chaoba said that it is high time to cut short the rule of Congress in Manipur as the Government has miserably failed to meet the expectations of the public.
Other eminent BJP functionaries of the State like M Ashnikumar, L Basanta Sharma, Md Abdullah, Nimaichand Luwang, H Borbabu and ADC candidate Parhai Morung addressed the meeting.
A memorandum was also submitted to the visiting Union Minister Jual Oram by Village Authority of Phunal Maring.
