633 new cases, 7 deaths recorded in last 24 hours

Imphal, August 10 2021: Out of 5118 samples tested in the last 24 hours, 633 people, including 4 personnel of Central security force returned positive results to take the cumulative number of positive cases in the State to 1,05,424 including 4,061 security personnel.

Continuing with the double digit mark, the daily positivity rate has been worked out at 12.4 percent.

Manipur also reported 7 deaths due to the virus in the last 24 hours to take the total death cases to 1664 .

The deceased persons were from Imphal West (2), Imphal East (3), Bishnupur (1) and Tengnoupal (1) .

Out of the 7 deaths, 6 had co-morbidities and only two of them had taken their first dose of the vaccine.

The positive status of the 633 persons were verified during testing at RIMS (24), JNIMS (35), District Hospitals (435) and other testing centres (139) .

The 629 civilians who tested positive are from Imphal East (133), Imphal West (269), Thoubal (30), Bishnupur (39), Kakching (23), Ukhrul (7), Churachandpur (66), Chandel (9), Senapati (19), Tamenglong (3), Tengnoupal (2), Noney (24), Pherzawl (3), Kamjong (1) and Kangpokpi (1) .

On the other hand 648 persons were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (302), RIMS (13), JNIMS (7), CCCs (127) and CHICs (199).The cumulative number of recovered cases has now gone up to 96,776 including 3973 Central security personnel and the recovery rate is 91.79 percent.

The number of active cases is 6984 including 83 Central security personnel.

On August 9, a total of 12,949 people received their vaccination shot taking the total to 14,06,729 .

The total includes 2,53,146 people who have received their second dose.

A total of 1509 D Type Oxygen cylinders and 357 B Type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health centres across the State in the last 24 hours.

The number of Covid beds available at different health centres as on August 10, 2021 are Iland Hospital (General beds-9), MSF, Little Flower School (General beds-4, ICU beds-6), CMC, Koirengei (General beds-30, ICU beds-7), Iboyaima Hospital (General beds-22, ICU bed-1), Jivan Hospital, Kakching (General beds-13, ICU beds-5), Shija Hospital (General beds-11, ICU beds-10), Raj Medicity (General beds-38, ICU beds-13), RIMS (General beds-23, ICU beds-13), JNIMS (General beds-7, ICU beds-10) .
