64th National School Games for Taekwondo : Manipur bag overall team championship title

Minister Youth Affairs and Sports Letpao Haokip, Joint Secy Youth Affairs and Sports Luckyson N Kashung, Joint Director Youth Affairs and Sports Kh Pramoda Devi and Observer School Games Federation of India RK Parihar will grace the closing ceremony of the 64th National School Games, 2018 in Taekwondo for U-14 Boys & Girls to be held today at Taekwondo Training Hall, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, Imphal at 1 pm as Chief Guest, President and Guests of honour respectively.
The 64th National School Games, 2018 in Taekwondo for U-14 Boys & Girls was organized by Youth Affairs and Sports Department under the aegis of School Games Federation of India since November 26 at Taekwondo Training Hall, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, Imphal.
Manipur team added two more gold medals in the fourth day to take its total medal tally to 5 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze to emerge overall team champion at the end of their campaign while Haryana took 3 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze to clinch the overall runner's up title.
In 26-29 kg category for girls, Nirvi Hekkad of Gujarat clinched the gold while Nilam Namdev Joshilkar of Maharashtra took the silver.
Shristy Singh (KVS) and Kareena (Har) finished with bronze medal.
In 35-38 kg category for girls, Siyaa Mishra of Delhi took the gold while M Bavatharini of Tamil Nadu settled with silver.
Rakshachahar of Chandigarh and Ana Patial of KVS finished with bronze medal.
In above 38 kg category for girls, Nayanavinash of Maharashtra secured the gold medal while Ishapan Chal of Chandigarh settled at silver.
Vrunda Kachha Diya of Gujarat and Elahe Gulzar of Telangana finished with bronze medal.
In 29-32 kg category for boys, A Prithviraj Singh of Manipur bagged the gold while Shataya Lodhi of Madhya Pradesh grabbed the silver.
Gourav (Har) and Devansh Mishra (Vidhya Bharat) took the bronze medal.
In 38-41 kg category for boys, Khaidem Robert of Manipur clinched the gold medal while Jonathan Lalmengnawai of Mizoram settled with silver medal.
Mihir Naliyapara (Guj) and Aman Munda (Jarkhand) finished with bronze medal.
In above 41 kg category for boys, Abzal Ali (MP) took the gold while Shrinidhi Deepak (Mah) settled with silver.
Anil Kumar (Har) and Biki Birendra (Goa) finished with bronze medal.
