Imphal, July 01 2009: The 29th State Level Handball Tournament for senior men and women organised by Manipur Handball Association has begins today at Khuman Lampak Outdoor Court, Imphal.

As the tournament commenced today, MPSC, IMC, PC, Citizens Club, ESU and BBA are participating in senior men's events while MPSC, SAI RC, YLK, IMC and BBA competed in senior women's events.

The first match today was played between MPSC and PC of senior men.

MPSC beat PC 17-9 and won the match.

Sunil (7), Rajesh (1) and Raju (1) scored the goals of PC.

The scorers of MPSC were Ingocha (6), Dinachandra (4), Beker (2), Hemanta (2), Ranjit (1), Prem (1) and Gobin (1) .

In the second match of senior men, BBA beat Citizens' Club 20-10.The main scorers of BBA were Kiran (6), Mani (5) and Kiranjit (4) .

The main scorers of Citizen were Sanjit (3), Amardeep (2) and Hafizuddin (2) .

SAI RC and IMC played the first match of senior women.

The match was won by SAI RC after defeating its opponent IMC 7-4 .

The goals of SAI RC were scored by Rebica (5), Laxmi (1) and Sunitibala (1).On the other hand, Sanathoi (2), Shanti (1) and ANita (1) scored the goals of IMC.

Senior women's second match was played between MPSC and YLK.

MPSC beat YLK 14-4 and won the match.

The scorers of MPSC were Sandhyarani (4), Apabi (4), Sunibala (2), Punam (2) and Inaoch (2) .

On the other hand, Sushila (2), Bimolata (1) and Priya (1) scored the goals of YLK in the match.

MPSC and ESU played the third match of senior men today.

MPSC beat ESU 20-14 and won the match.

The main scorers of MPSC were Ingocha (7), Brojen (2), Dinachandra (2) and Devan (2).The main scorers of ESU were Nandakishwor (7) and Ningthem (4).The fourth match of senior men was played between BBA and IMC.

BBA won the match after defeating IMC 16-7 .

The main scorers of BBA were Kiran (8), Yaiphaba (3) and Herojit (3).On the other hand, Saratchandra (4) and Tumanbi (2) were the main scorers of IMC in the match.

IMC and BBA played the third match of senior women.

IMC beat BBA 13-4 and won the match.

The scorers of IMC were Shanti (5), Renuka (4), Surbala (2) and Sanathoi (2).On the other hand the four goals of BBA were scored by Ibechaobi alone.
