Imphal, October 23 2019: K&MM Riding School-A, Singjamei and Samurou Polo Club posted emphatic wins to move into the last 16 round of the ongoing 35th N Hazari and Dr N Tombi Singh State Polo Tournament organised by Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association at Mapal Kangjeibung.

In the first match of the day, K&MM Riding School-A dominated Eastern Students' Club-A (ESC-A), Nongmeibung right from the beginning to seal a comfortable 9-1 win and a place in the last 16 round.

W Johny drew level for K&MM Riding School-A after A Cameron scored a freak early goal in the opening minute for ESC-A before O Rozer and Ch Ajit grabbed a goal each in the last minute of first chukker to make it 3-1 .

W Johny scored his second in the second chukker to make the scoreline read 4-1 till the break while Ch Ajit completed his double in the third chukker.

After leading 5-1 till the third chukker, K&MM RS-A were simply unstoppable as they went on to score 4 goals in the last chukker with O Rozer netting 2 goals to complete his four while M Homen and W Johny struck home a goal each and completed the 9-1 decimation ESC-A .

Meanwhile in the second match, Samurou Polo Club's captain, O Paikhomba led by example as he chipped in four goals alone in their 6-0 rout of KRYPHSA Polo team, Naoremthong after his team led 1-0 till the break thanks to A Abung goal in the second chukker.

AK Ibomcha made it 2-0 in the third minute of the third chukker before O Paikhomba carried forward the momentum with accurate strikes that saw him earn four of four remaining goals, two in the third and another two in the fourth chukker to complete the 6-0 whitewash of the Naoremthong side.

Hundred Able PC will meet AR Polo team in tomorrow's first match while Ibudhou Marjing Polo team will play MPSC-A latter.
