Imphal, October 17 2024: Konthoujam Somorjit won the Loktak Run 2024, organised by Youth Development Association (YDA), Ningthoukhong Kha Khunou, on Thursday.

Yairipok's Somorjit clocked 38:34.99 minutes to cross the finish line for the top spot.

Senapati's Ngaopulou came off second best with a time of 39:36.02 minutes and Waiton's Yumnam Arjit completed the top three, clocking 39:52.09 minutes.

The Loktak Run 2024 held under the theme "Stop Plastic Pollution, Save Loktak" was attended by Kshetrimayum Ravikumar Singh, SP Bishnupur, Okram Yoihenba Meetei, president YDA, Arunkumar Meena, commandant 32 Bn CRPF Loktak, Lt Col I Jayantakumar Singh, Loitongbam Rishikanta Singh, SDO Bishnupur, and N Bheigachandra Singh, assistant engineer PWD, as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.

Also present was Thounaojam Bonbihari, Sanayojak Manipur Prant Paryaavaran Sanrakshan Gatividhi.
