UCFC pip KDC in Cdl Super Football League; wins for BYC, BYC & MYC in 2nd Div League

Imphal, October 17 2024: United Chandel FC rode on Armstrong Dilbung's goal to edge past Kapaam DC 1-0 in Thursday's action of the Chandel Super Division Football League 2024 at Ziontlang Ground.

In a closely contested game, United Chandel rose to the occasion courtesy of Armstrong, who scored the match-clincher in the 70th minute via a penalty kick.

Meanwhile, Betuk YC and Damjol YC prevailed by an identical 3-1 margin while Mahamani YC struggled past Heibunglok YC on the first day of the Chandel 2nd Division Football League 2024.In the opening match, Betuk YC claimed a convincing 3-1 win over Modi CSC.

Shongwar netted the opener in the 27th minute and Kumuk doubled their lead in the 34th minute before Shongwar scored his second goal in the 67th minute to round off their scoring.

Sr Cember converted for Modi CSC in the 73rd minute but it was too little, too late.

The second match saw Damjol YC ease past Menkang YC 3-1 as Goulen scored all three goals for his team.

Goulen took just seven minutes to put Damjot in front and he went on to extend the lead in the 14th minute via a penalty kick.

Moshilpa narrowed the gap for Menkang in the 48th minute only to see Goulen restore their two-goal cushion with a 52nd-minute penalty conversion that ultimately sealed the 3-1 result.

Mahamani YC registered a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Heibunglok YCC.

Pashel Hringtha was the hero for Mahamani as his lOth-minute goal eventually proved to be the match-winner.
