YLK boys, girls crowned Junior State Handball champions

Imphal, May 02 2024: Both YLK (Chingar-el) boys and girls emerged champions in the 46th Junior Boys & Girls State Level Handball Championship 2024.In the junior boys' event final, YLK pulled off an 18-16 victory against KVWA (Mayang Imphal) at Lilong Mairenkhong Rising Club's play ground on Thursday.

Bekham led the scoring with a six-goal haul as Henba netted four goals, Krinibash grabbed a treble, both Adison and Albert contributed two, and Abhijit chipped in with one in their title triumph.

The girls' final match saw YLK make light work of KVWA 9-1 with three goals from Selina, a double each from Nomika and Bijeya, and one apiece from Levia and Pitelika.

Henthoit was the lone scorer for KVWA.
