Imphal, May 02 2024: AFC and NISA emerged victorious as Rahee UC and FC Lamjao shared the spoils in the 16th Manipur State League on Wednesday (May 1, 2024) .

AFC registered a convincing 2-0 win over MPSC in their Group A encounter at DSA Ground, Kakching.

Loyangamba Meitei Akoijam found the opener in the 38th minute and Naorem Kishan Singh extended the lead in the 40th minute as AFC held their grounds to clinch the game in convincing style.

NISA, on the other hand, beat YOSC by a 2-1 margin in a Group B meeting at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

Lankao Henry Kamei put NISA ahead via a penalty kick in the 28th minute, and Laishram Binoy Singh (45+1) made it 2-0 just before the halftime whistle.

YOSC's goal came only in the third minute of stoppage time, resulting in a 2-1 outcome in NISA's favour.

Another Group B match between Rahee UC and FC Lamjao ended in a 1-1 draw.

S Johny Kom gave Rahee the lead in the 55th minute before FC Lamjoa made it all square in the 82nd minute through Thounaojam Premkumar for the 1-1 result.
