Assam man dies in Tamenglong accident

Imphal, October 17 2024: A Tata Sumo vehicle carrying passengers met with an accident at Sibilong in Tamenglong district on Thursday morning, leaving one passenger dead and two others injured.

The vehicle (MN 07C 3477) plunged into a deep gorge.

The deceased has been identified as Saribudin Laskar from Cachar, Assam, who died on the spot.

The injured individuals, Bahrul Islam and Joynal Husain, also from Cachar, have been transported to Oinamlong Civil Hospital.

Sibilong is about 74 kilometres from Jiribam on NH 37 .
