Imphal, February 09, 2011: Kuki Women Union, Manipur has pledged support to the stand taken by the selected Primary Teachers/HMT/HGT 2006 of Education Department.

Maintaining that these teachers have gone through all the required process as per advertisement, the union expressed surprise on being declared null and void to their appointment.

The union added, it is learnt that the selected teachers would be appointed on contract basis which according to the union is unlawful.

Saying that there is lack of great numbers of teachers in hill areas, the union asked the concerned authority why unnecessary problems are created to victimise the successful candidates.

Kuki Women Union also urged the concerned authority to look into the matter very seriously and offer appointment to the selected candidates without delay on humanitarian ground.
