People for Animal (PFA) Thoubal has urged the State film fraternity to take notice of laws governing use of animals in films, advertisements etc while framing guideline for making Manipuri films.
Filmmakers using animals have to get pre-shoot permission from Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI), a statement issued by PFA said while adding that details of the matter can be had from AWBI website.
It further urged all concerned filmmakers who are beginning shooting of any film, documentary, ads etc after March 15 to comply with the governing laws on use of animals in films, ads etc.
It cautioned that the PFA would lodge a complain with the AWBI and Broadcasting Content Complains Council in case filmmakers do not comply with the governing laws.
