WAMADA urges Govt

Expressing serious concern over the threat on banning the Accelerated Urban Water Supply Scheme at Molpheitampak by the land donor, the Water Management and Development Association (WAMADA), Moirang has urged the Govt to bring an amicable solution at the earliest to avoid imminent water scarcity problem to the people who are relying on the water supply scheme.
A statement issued by general secretary of WAMADA, Moirang, Y Surjitkumar Khuman urged the Govt to immediately fulfil the genuine demand raised by the land donor and honour the agreement signed between the land donor and the PHE Dept in 1999 .
Chief of Molpheitampak village, Ccpur, who is also donor of the land for ACUWSS at the village had threatened to ban the scheme if the agreement signed with the PHED is not fulfilled within the current financial year.
