Chandel, March 01 2014 :
The 24-hr bandh enforced by Aimol Students Union Manipur from mid night of February 28 has been suspended following an understanding reached between the agitating students and MLA of 42-Tengnoupal A/C DK Korungthang during the latter's visit to Pallel today.
The bandh was called to press the demand for eviction or broadening of the road stretch from Pallel to Aimol village in Chandel district.
MLA DK Korungthang reportedly assured the agitating students that the demand would be taken up for discussion in a meeting with Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh on March 4 .
