Bodies urge CM to retain Senapati DC

Imphal, June 09: Chairmen of Khongdie Union, Chilivai Naga Union, presidents of Lepaona Naga Union, Chilivai and chairman of Phuba Thapham villages submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister to retain the service of present Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Kesarwani in the district.

The memorandum mentioned that the three sub-divisions of the district namely, Mao-Maram, Paomata and Purul blocks were excluded from NREGA by the Government of India.

However, the memorandum said, the grievances faced by the people of these areas had been solved due to utmost care taken by the DC.
