Imphal, July 01 2009: With strong condemnation, the Zingsho Mapithel Katamnao Long (ZMKL) claimed that the report of the Imphal East Police Commandos regarding the arrest of Mr Ruichumhao Angkang at Chassad Avenue on June 27 last was wrong in a statement issued by President of ZMKL, Worngam Siro.

Mr Ruichumhao Angfkang of Lungphu village of Ukhrul district is not related to any underground outfit.

He was the President of ZMKL, the Eastern Mapithel Students' Union for two terms and is currently acting as a tribunal of the Union said the statement.

The statement appealed to the state government and the state bureaucrats to introspect into such act of atrocity of the state and the central security forces before bursting out the wild fire.

The Union is ready to launch a series of agitations afterwards if the government fails to release Mr Ruichumhao Angkang within three days without any condition said the statement.
