Imphal, February 09, 2011: The proscribed KCP (MC) has claimed responsibility for the gunning down of one Thoiba Singh s/o Khundrakpam Ningthemjao Singh of Nachou Kha Leikai.

Thoiba, a security personnel working with Aircel company, was in the custody of KCP before being shot dead at 4.30 pm of February 9 on the charge of continued association with the mobile phone service provider inspite of warning to severe all ties with the company, contended a KCP (MC) statement issued jointly by its commander in-chief Taibanganba and publicity officer Washington Meitei.

The outfit also warned of strong action against W Rojit Singh of Porompat Thawanthaba Leikai and N Nillakumar Singh of Kakwa, in case the duo do not cease service of supplying fuel for use by mobile towers.
