Taragi Cheishu sets eyes on coming days

The Taragi Cheisu, an advisory body, has called a meeting tomorrow (May 3) to discuss what can be done to work out a solution to the crisis in Manipur which will complete one year mark tomorrow.
The meeting will be attended by representatives of different civil society organisations.
Addressing a press briefing at Khurai Ahongei today, chairman of Taragi Cheisu Khaidem Mani said that different organisations have decided to hold events in connection with the crisis in Manipur completing the one year mark separately tomorrow.
Appealing to all the civil society organisations to not make any statement which can be misunderstood or dent the relationship between hill and valley people during tomorrow's events, Kh Mani said that Taragi Cheisu will also hold a meeting at its office at Khurai Ahongei with some organisation leaders tomorrow and discuss the way forward.
He said that noted film maker Aribam Syam Sharma and renowned playwright and theatre director Ratan Thiyam will also attend the meeting.
It won't be possible for the Kuki to wipe out the Meitei and vice versa, he said and reiterated that tomorrow's meeting will discuss what needs to be done to resolve the crisis.
Should the crisis in Manipur which will complete one year mark tomorrow be allowed to persist, he asked.
Saying that the Government should take legal help to drive out the Kuki narco-terrorists, Kh Mani added that the State Government can also seek support from the Centre in neutralising the Kuki narco terrorists.
He further said that a collective effort of the hill and valley people is needed to resolve the crisis in Manipur.
