Many continue to extend humanitarian assistance to the people affected by the ongoing conflict in the State.
Today, M Asnikumar Singh, Chairman LDA Manipur along with Lt Gen LN Singh (retired), volunteer/coordinator of Sewa International in collaboration with Sewa Bharati, Nagamapal, Imphal distributed essential items (TVs, mattresses, mosquito nets, mosquito repellents, sanitary pads, toiletries, bed sheets, pillows, slippers, carrom boards, food items etc) sponsored by Sewa International USA across 5 relief camps in Bishnupur district.
Speaking to the media, M Asnikumar said, "Our hearts go out for the children living in these relief camps.
My heartfelt gratitude to Sewa International USA, Seva Bharati Nagamapal and Lt Gen LN Singh (Retd) for lending a helping hand to the communities affected by the ongoing violence in Manipur".

"The efforts and sacrifices we make to achieve peace are far greater than anything.
Peace has the power to overcome all evils", he added.
The LDA Chairman also appealed to all the communities in the State to work collectively for peace and harmony in Manipur.
Lt Gen LN Singh (retired) shared that the relief materials will cover 2,500 displaced people and efforts are being made to fulfil the educational needs of children living in relief camps.
Notably, the relief materials sponsored by Sewa International USA will be distributed in 20 relief camps across the State in the coming days.
As a part of Students For Seva (SFS), Akhil Bharartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Manipur has distributed study materials and sport items at New Gold Clut, Taretkhul Parking Relief Camp, Universal Friendship Organisation (UFO), Uyumpok Relief Camp and Bal Vidya Mandir School Palace Compound.
The ABVP team consisting of ABVP State organization secretary Bhagawat Rajawat, ABVP Imphal Vibhag organization secretary Akshay Rajukar, Savishkar in-charge coordinator Tonsana Thokchom, Diki Doma Maibam chairman Bal Vidya Mandir School Management, Ph Netrajit Sharma principal Bal Vidya Mandir School, Seetharam Ghat organization secretary Vidya Bharati Manipur were accorded a warm welcome in all the relief camps, said ABVP Manipur in a release.
The team provided relief materials to about 11 students of Classes I-XII .
Moreover, members of Top Khongnangmakhong Mamang Leikai Women Development today provided essential items including rice, edible oil, potato, milk ,etc to the volunteers who are camping at Tera Khongsangbi and Moirang Khunou Ethnic Park to protect the villagers of the area.
Earlier, the Committee had provided similar assistance at relief camps set up in Sangaithel and Yaingangpokpi.
Besides, Youth Clubs located along Tinsid Road have jointly provided a monetary aid of Rs 40,000 to help the medical treatment of Hijam Sangker, a resident of Khurai Kongpal Ningthoubung Leikai who was injured during an unfortunate incident at Khamenlok.
The monetary aid was provided through Khun Ngak Lup established under Netaji Memorial Club, Khurai Kongpal.
BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president and former Minister Oinam Lukhoi on Monday provided essential items and monetary aid to the relief camp set up in Samurou Government High School.
O Lukhoi also interacted with the inmates of the relief camps and assured to provide similar assistance in the future.
Guru Kulla Cultural Academy, Khurai Sajor Leikai, has also extended relief materials to the relief camps set up in Khurkhul and Kanto Sabal.
