Thoubal, October 11 2020: Taking serious note of the dilapidated condition of the road connecting Salungpham and Wangjing, the United Club Organisation Salungpham has adopted several resolutions to get the road repaired.

The resolutions were adopted during a public meeting convened by the United Club Organisation at the ground of SYC Club at Heirok AC today.

It was also resolved to get a huge gate erected for Salungpham with the words, Welcome to Salungpham embossed on it.

After minute discussion, the meeting which was presided by Ph Leibakchao pradhan of Kang Yambem GP, adopted several resolutions.

It was decided to approach the authority concerned to get the Salungpham-Wangjing road repaired at the earliest, as this stretch has been lying unrepaired for years now.

Apart from urging the authority concerned to set a deadline for completing the repair work, it was decided that in case there is no positive response from the authority concerned, then any social worker willing to repair the road would be welcomed.

It was also decided not to politicise any development work taken up at Salungpham.

In case, no positive response is received from the authority concerned or any social worker to repair the said stretch of road, then all the people of Salungpham would rise as one to launch a series of strong protests.

It was also decided to erect a gate at Salungpham with the words Welcome to Salungpham.

For this each household in Salungpham would contribute generously and the work of erecting the gate would be handed over to United Club Organisation, Salungpham.
