Kohima, December 02 2018: The Former Chief Minister and Naga People's Front President, Dr.Shurhozelie Liezietsu on Saturday asserted that the NPF party have no ownership but the party itself belongs to the Naga people as the party top priority is for the cause of the Naga people and its welfare.

Addressing the one day seminar organised by the NPF Phek division at Pfutsero multi-purpose hall under the theme, 'Regional Principle and Ideology', the President stated that many regional political party came into being and perished in the state only to contest election or for a sheer power and money, but unlike those parties, NPF came into being to save the Naga people and it will remain so till the solution to the Naga political problem is achieved and the NPF will always stood for the Naga political issue and preservation of the identity of the Naga people.

He maintained that many Naga leaders run astray from one political party to another for the love of money and power but a true leader with the Naga nationalism will always remain faithful with the NPF party.

Speaking to mammoth gathering, Dr.Shurhozelie pointed out that many regional political parties failed to sustain in the state due to the lack of its principle and ideology for the Naga people in the past and even the NDPP, which is now in the ruling Government will also soon vanish, he added.

"God love the Naga people but we are blinded by money and power", Dr.Shurhozelie said and called upon the NPF leaders to stand firm and be committed to the cause of the Naga people and its welfare.

He also encouraged the party workers that, in politics, there is ups and downs in position but being the Naga leaders must stand firm to their principle as God stand with the truth one day.

Speaking as the resource person, the NPF Secretary General and the lone MP Rajya Sabha, KG Kenye maintained that, the NPF party, the second oldest regional political party in the country since its inception, its principle and political stand remain the same.

The NPF party top most priority is for the resolution to the Naga political issue and to maintain and protect the identity of the Naga people, he asserted.

KG Kenye also warned out that anything can happen anytime to the Naga people, so unless we protect and preserve our identity, we may be easily captured and penetrate by the outside force.

Pointing out that the NDPP will also soon vanish one day like other political parties, the MP said and stated that NDPP is just a by-product of NPF, the NDPP is just a resting shed for many political leaders, he added.

Also speaking as resource person, ex-Minister and advisor to NPF President, Thenucho called upon the party workers that NPF is the only party which can uphold the identity of the Naga people, therefore, to remain firmed with the party and protect the Naga people.

He also maintained that NPF party came into being only to voiced for the welfare of the Naga people, therefore, any committed party leaders should not shift their loyalty towards any other political parties as, "rolling stone gathers no man", he added.

Former Minister and MLA, Yitachu in his welcome address stated that the main principle and ideology of the NPF party is to preserve and protect the identity of the Naga people to the outside world and the NPF party is an overall character of the Naga people.

Maintaining that NPF represents the character and reflection of the Naga people, Yitachu called upon the party workers to put forward the true spirit of regionalism to the Naga people.

The one-seminar was chaired by Chivotso Nienu, President Phek Division and vote of thanks was delivered by MLA, Kezhienyi Khalo.

Host of Central party leaders including MLA Keneizakho Nakhro also attended the seminar.

The NPF Phek Division also adopted a resolution during the seminar,
It resolved to continue to firmly support the leadership of Shurhozelie Liezietsu, President NPF and TR Zeliang, leader of NPF Legislature party
It is strongly re-affirmed and resolved to continue to strive and uphold the regional principle and ideology in letter and spirit and take message to the citizen of the state
It resolved to endorsed its fullest co-operation and continue support to strengthen the leadership of NPF Phek Division legislators.
