7 UKLF cadres remanded

Seven active cadres of the United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) who were arrested by a combined team of security forces on November 4 during a search operation in Zion Veng, Yangoukpokpi, Seijang and Mongjang areas of Moreh have been remanded to police custody for seven days till November 11 .
The arrested UKLF cadres were produced before the Duty Magistrate, Moreh through video conferencing along with a prayer for seven days police custody remand.
The arrested UKLF cadres have been identified as Netingam Lupho (55) of Yangoupokpi village, Jangkhohao Lupho (45) of Yangoupokpi village, George Holkhosat Khongsai (20) of Joldan village (Munno Veng Ward no 7), Letgoulen Doungel (25) of Zion Veng (near hospital), Jangkhohao Haokip (34) of Zion Veng (near hospital), Nengimao of Namphalong Myanmar and Jangkhomang Baite (21) of Muannom Veng, Moreh.
The Court after hearing the submission of IO of the case remanded them in police custody for seven days in order to enable police investigate the case smoothly.
The UKLF cadres were arrested by a combined team of Special Commando, Moreh Commando, 5th IRB, Thoubal Commando, Kakching Commando and 5 Assam Rifles along with 102 numbers of gun cartridge, 10 grams of gunpowder, one Chinese hand grenade, 60 grams of Sulphur powder, four mobile phones, one camouflage jacket and some other items on November 4 .
