Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Francis Ngajokpa today inspected road development works being taken up in Chakpikarong sub-division of Chandel district under PMGSY.
The Minister who is the Chairman of Manipur State Rural Roads Development Agency (MSRRDA) was accompanied by MSRRDA Chief Engineer N Bapuchand, Additional Chief Engineer Thokchom Shyamsunder and other officials of the department.
Speaking to media persons who went to cover the inspection tour, Francis Ngajokpa said that he was satisfied with the way the works are being executed although all the three works are in the stage of 'formation cutting' .
The team was accorded a warm reception at Sajik Tampak.
Speaking at the gathering, Francis Ngajokpa stated that all PMGSY works should be executed within specific time periods.
Failure to execute PMGSY works in time due to undue impediments would be a big loss for the State as a whole.
He appealed to all the local people to cooperate with MSRRDA engineers and officials.
The team inspected the 6.6 Kms long road from Longja to K Phailen, Sajik Tampak to Bollock road (6.69 Kms) and the Sajik Tampak to L Heikha road (12 Kms) .
Francis Ngajokpa and his team interacted with students and teachers of Khutum Primary School located at L Heikha.
Kana Area Anal Naga Chiefs Association president BD Monesing Anal conveyed gratitude to the State Government and RD&PR Minister Francis Ngajokpa and MSRRDA officials for constructing/developing roads in their area.
