WMC sustains movement for ST

Imphal, May 02 2024: Continuing its movement for inclusion of Meetei in Scheduled Tribes (ST) list, World Meetei Council (WMC) or ganised a demonstration at Kakwa Bazar on Thursday.

The demonstration led by WMC Manipur women's front president Urikhimbam Matouleibi, Youth Front president Arambam Sajan, information and publicity secretary Thingbaijam Sushila was attended by Kakwa Keithel vendors and Meira Paibi Lup.

The protesters shouted slogans including 'CM should not blackmail the inclusion of Meetei in ST list', 'Requisite reports should be sent for inclusion of Meetei in ST list', 'Save our lives', 'ST is the only way to save Meetei' and 'CM should hear our voices' .
