Imphal, May 02 2024: Manipuri Leima Lup, Eastern Guwahati observed May Day by organising a combined cultural event with the aim of promoting the traditional sports of Manipur, at Amsing Jorabat in Assam on Wednesday.

The observance also had traditional sports of Kangtharo and Likon, played during the Sajibu month of the Meetei Lunar Calendar.

The event was presided by Manipuri Leima Lup president Ng Bijaya Keisham alongside advisors Huirem Puinabati Devi, Kayenbam Bina Singh and Prava Devi as well as presidents of its three branches.

As part of the event, members of the organisation presented dance and musical performances, followed by a drawing competition for children.
