MSF meets Edn (S) Dir over mark cut-off order

Imphal, August 19 2021: Demanding revocation of the notification prescribing cut-off mark for admission of Class XI students in the government higher secondary school, Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) on Thursday met Director Education (S) .

According to MSF general secretary Hijam Roshan, during the meeting which also featured discussion on conducting online entrance test, the director assured to honour the Federation's proposal to increase the intake capacity of students in government schools particularly in CC and Johnstone higher secondary schools.

Further stating that the director was urged to facilitate admission of all the students and ensure adequate classroom and basic facilities in government institutions, Roshan in formed that MSF proposed to the director to withdraw the mark cut-off notification as all the students who were enrolled for the Class X examination were promoted on the basis of internal assessment of the schools concerned.
