Farm machineries distributed

Imphal, December 10 2023:
Eastern Border Areas Development Authority (EBADA) Manipur distributed dryer, grinding and packaging machines to farmers of Taodaijang village in Noney district in a function held at the village on Sunday.
The machineries were provided under Alternative Farming System for Poppy Planters/Tribal Jhumias of the Hill Districts of Manipur' scheme.
EBADA also constructed a mushroom house for the farmers of the village.
Horticulture and Soil Conservation commissioner and EBADA member secretary Thaithunglung Pamei, and Hill Area Committee (HAC) chairman, Nungba MLA Dinganglung Gangmei attended the distribution function as members of the dais.
Speaking on the occasion, EBADA project director Nongthombam Loya informed that EBADA has been supporting farmers in the hill districts in order to improve their socio-economic condition and bring equitable development in the state.
More assistance in the form of solar lighting system and bee boxes will also be distributed to farmers soon, he announced.
