AR provides humanitarian, medical aid

Imphal, August 25 2023:
Around 500 citizens were provided with medical aid in a series of medical camps organised by Assam Rifles in Tengnoupal, Chandel and Churachandpur districts.
According to PRO IGAR (S), troopers of Assam Rifles at Tengnoupal organised a "Med Aid Camp" at Kwatha village during which a 20-mem-ber medical team provided comprehensive healthcare, rendering aid to 179 villagers.
Another similar camp conducted in Laijang and Thingphai villages in Chandel district benefitted 221 locals, the PRO informed, adding that, 72 displaced civilians from the camp at Khuga Dam in Churachandpur were also examined by the chief medical officer and essential medicines distributed to the displaced civilians.
On the other hand, under the aegis of IGAR (South) its troopers provided emergency medical assistance to an injured person of Chaljang village at Tuitam Khongkhai village in Churachandpur on Thursday, the PRO informed.
Meanwhile, troopers of Assam Rifles under IGAR (South) conducted a blood donation at district hospital, Churachandpur on Thursday on emergent requirement basis to save the lives of critical cases at the district hospital.
