Seven new cases take active tally to 9

Imphal, May 02 2023: The state on Tuesday reported seven fresh Covid-19 positive cases, the highest since a new wave of the pandemic began in the state this year.

The seven fresh cases were detected out of 285 samples tested in the last 24 hours with positivity rate of 2.5 per cent.

It took the number of active cases to 9.Three of the seven new cases are residents of Imphal West, two of Imphal East, and one each of Bishnupur and Chandel districts.

So far, 16,49,470 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19, out of which 13,39,219 have received the second dose and 2,80,416 taken precautionary doses.

Vaccination is on hold at present after the Centre stopped vaccine supply to the states.
