Health camps, awareness held at relief camps

Imphal, October 18 2023:
Members of Liklam Ngakpa, a Delhi based group, on Wednesday organised free medical camp at a relief camp set up in Santhong Awang Leikai which presently houses over 400 displaced people.
A Liklam Ngakpa release informed that medicines were also distributed to those inmates in need during the camp.
It further expressed deep concern for the inmates especially those sleeping on the floor as winter season approaches while also appealing to authorities concerned to look into the matter at the earliest.
On the other hand, KR Dental Care & Cosmetic located at Nagamapal Khwai Brahmapur conducted a free dental camp at Praja Higher Secondary School, Lamsang, both for the students of the School and the displaced people taking refuge there, on Wednesday.
Medicines along with relief materials were also distributed to the inmates as part of the camp.
Meanwhile, Sana-Khuthek Manipuri Cultural Academy, Sagplband Meino Leirak in collaboration with Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office, Imphal and Social Welfare Department, Manipur with the support of Social Welfare Department, District Programme Officer, Kakching organised awareness programmes on 'importance of consumption of nutritional food' as part of "Poshan Maah' campaign and 'Manipuri traditional songs, dance and Thang-ta' in various locations including relief camps from October 6 to 15 across Kakching district.
