In connection with the murder of Ak Nonganba of Kwakeithel Konjeng Leikai, whose body was found on February 12 at Changoubung under Kangpokpi police station, the JAC so formed against the killing demanded the government to make public whether or not the case has been handed over to the NIA.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here on Friday, JAC convenor Thounaojam Ashalata recounted that the government assured of handing over the case to NIA.
However, there is no confirmation whether the case was actually handed over to NIA or not, she continued, while urging the government to make it public.
Two people who were arrested in connection with the case have been released, she contended, while enquiring the reason for the release.
