Imphal, October 10 2010:
The proscribed PREPAK celebrated its 33rd raising day yesterday together with indigenous people of the land in different parts of Kangleipak and beyond.
A press release issued by the outfit's publicity in-charge Aheiba Angom conveyed gratitude to all those people who participated and helped in successful celebration of the raising day.
The raising day was also celebrated at the party's central headquarters, general headquarters, tactical headquarters, unit headquarters, transit camps and training camps.
The function held at the Ghqs was marked by hoisting of the party's seven coloured flag.
The Vice-Chairman's message to the party cadres was also read out there.
After re-affirming the party's ideology, the gathering paid floral tributes to the departed revolutionaries in addition to observing two minutes' silence in honour of the departed cadres.
Kangleipak was a sovereign state until October 15, 1949 after which it came under the alien rule of New Delhi, the release reminded.
It also pointed out that Montenegro which gained independence on June 3, 2006 is just 13,812 Sq Kms in area having a total population of just 6,72,180 in 2009 .
How Kosovo became independent from Serbia need to be analysed in detail in the backdrop of the ongoing armed struggle for restoration of sovereignty to Kangleipak.
Looking back to the history of revolutionary movements across the world and the most recent cases of small nations becoming independent, it can be inferred that the revolutionary movement of Kangleipak would surely achieve its goal one day or the other, the outfit asserted.
One primary reason for annexation for Kangleipak and other NE States was to create a buffer zone out of the region for security of Hindu dominated mainland India.
By deploying a large number of its army, India has been keeping Kangleipak under siege, it alleged.
The fate of Tripuris who have become a small minority in their own State would befall upon the people of Kangleipak if the alien rule persists any longer, the outfit cautioned.
To save the nation and win back lost sovereignty, people of Kangleipak need to build up their collective strength and launch an intense liberation movement, it urged.
